Vail Colorado/Bachelor's Gulch

I had the opportunity to go to Denver and then travel by bus to Vail and up the canyon to Bachelor's Gulch. The area was just beautiful and as you can see, I stayed at the Ritz Carlton there. It was a great experience. Our activity was horseback riding up the mountain, and it turned into a sudden lightening storm. That was kind of different. I loved the ride, and my horse "Copper". He was terrific. The storm not so great, but it was actually fun. Got a bit wet, but it was worth it. I had to show the bathroom where I stayed because it was beautiful and the tub was divine!(so great to soak after a 2 hour horseback ride). Nice.

Sweet Swing!

Carter is just hangin' around -- not by himself of course!
Then the front garden. Love it! I have missed my swing to sit in while I read or look at the garden.... Mark has worked very hard to get it back to brand new. New boards, new stain, new paint! It is back. I love it! Thank you Mark for fixing the swing. SWEET!

Robby's big day! May 3rd 2011

Graduation Day for Robby. Juris Doctorate!
We are so proud of him. We went to a little party that Natalie planned before the Graduation. It was so fun to have the boys take a picture together with their brother. Then down to the Boise Centre on the Grove for his hooding. That was pretty exciting. Two of his good law student buddies were right there with him, Ben Law and Dru Nakaya.

Eva's pre-birthday Birthday!

Look at that little face--such anticipation! She is just a doll. This was exactly a week before her actual Birthday.

I just loved her little "whew"! We told her to huff and puff! So she did.......

I think Eva is wondering what happened! Can she do that again?

I just lucked out grabbing this picture of Carter as he took his finger and.....

Easter Sunday

It was a beautiful Easter Day today. I mixed these up a bit, because we had a little hunt first before we ate dinner. Natalie is outside playing with Carter..Careful little Mama! Rob and Chad are washing and drying some dishes after dinner.

Chad handed off a pan to Barry and he is wondering where it goes...It is hard to stay out of the kitchen, but I was ordered to do so. Thanks boys for cleaning up!

Emma and Mark look at all the goodies they found. Pretty easy pickins for these two older kiddos.

Mark looks and finds
MiKayla watches as the kids find those eggs. Emma sees one and so does Harley. He wants a basket to collect eggs!
Carter is so happy to have found so many eggs, and gives Pop "arms" in gratitude. This was a very special hug, because he doesn't hand them out at will. I got one too--made my day!

Carter was just so cute--looking and finding with some help...These eggs were just perfect, sitting in a nest of grass. Being a 2 1/2 year old is the perfect age for hunting eggs.

We had a nice dinner of ham, scalloped potates, deviled eggs, asparagus, carrots, rolls, jello and for dessert, some of Grandma Bleazard's Prune Cupcakes. They were delicious, but really brought back some great memories for all of us. On days like today we really miss being with all our children and their families; so glad we can see them from time to time. :)

What's been happening

About 2 weeks ago we were watching Carter while Mom and Dad went to check out the hospital before the new arrival coming in May. Carter was in a very playful mood as you can see in his little face.

Catching him playing in Pop's shirts brought us some fun times. He was showing off a little, and started to really pose for the camera, but he was so funny-- we just loved it.
This picture was darling as he just looked up at me with such a sweet face. He and his mommy and daddy moved last weekend to get settled before the new baby arrives. We are missing his bright little eyes and his trains! Lucky for us, Carter only lives 2 minutes away! We can live with that!
