Easter Sunday

It was a beautiful Easter Day today. I mixed these up a bit, because we had a little hunt first before we ate dinner. Natalie is outside playing with Carter..Careful little Mama! Rob and Chad are washing and drying some dishes after dinner.

Chad handed off a pan to Barry and he is wondering where it goes...It is hard to stay out of the kitchen, but I was ordered to do so. Thanks boys for cleaning up!

Emma and Mark look at all the goodies they found. Pretty easy pickins for these two older kiddos.

Mark looks and finds
MiKayla watches as the kids find those eggs. Emma sees one and so does Harley. He wants a basket to collect eggs!
Carter is so happy to have found so many eggs, and gives Pop "arms" in gratitude. This was a very special hug, because he doesn't hand them out at will. I got one too--made my day!

Carter was just so cute--looking and finding with some help...These eggs were just perfect, sitting in a nest of grass. Being a 2 1/2 year old is the perfect age for hunting eggs.

We had a nice dinner of ham, scalloped potates, deviled eggs, asparagus, carrots, rolls, jello and for dessert, some of Grandma Bleazard's Prune Cupcakes. They were delicious, but really brought back some great memories for all of us. On days like today we really miss being with all our children and their families; so glad we can see them from time to time. :)

What's been happening

About 2 weeks ago we were watching Carter while Mom and Dad went to check out the hospital before the new arrival coming in May. Carter was in a very playful mood as you can see in his little face.

Catching him playing in Pop's shirts brought us some fun times. He was showing off a little, and started to really pose for the camera, but he was so funny-- we just loved it.
This picture was darling as he just looked up at me with such a sweet face. He and his mommy and daddy moved last weekend to get settled before the new baby arrives. We are missing his bright little eyes and his trains! Lucky for us, Carter only lives 2 minutes away! We can live with that!

R&R in McCall

A few weeks ago (in January) we had an opportunity to go to McCall for a little R&R with Kirt and Lorrie. They were so great to invite us and it was a beautiful weekend. Payette Lake is frozen as you can see, and it was pretty cold.

I have always wanted to go snowshoeing! We were able to do that but at times I was all snow shoe and not much grace. I fell and knocked Mark over and Lorrie said it looked like we fell in slow motion. Once landing in that deep soft snow, it was hard to get back up, plus I was laughing so hard, I had trouble focusing on what was important: Getting BACK UP!

After making it back up and seeing Mark covered in snow, it was a funny sight. Mark was a good sport, because I caused all the trauma that he had to get us out of. Kirt grabbed my camera, saving it; but had to take some fun pictures of the mishap.
This was a beautiful shot of sunset the first night we were there taking a nice walk on the golf course there in McCall.

I couldn't help taking this picture with the contrast of the pine trees vs. the brown tree standing there looking so cold and lonely.
While on the walk we thought we would pause and take this shot at the 6th Tee of the golf course. Different kind of shot on that Tee this time of year!
A fun shot of two sisters getting some fresh air and sun in the cold. Good times!
